Roosevelt Lake

We decided to take a drive up to Roosevelt Lake for the day one weekend when our friend's the Harper's were up there camping.  It was so nice out and both of us mentioned that it was nice to get up on the weekend have have somewhere to go and get out and do something.  It was about 2 hours away and such a pretty drive.  We have also been invited to the lake many many many times in the past and have never gone.  So we packed up the car and headed out.  Driving in the desert this time of year is absolutely beautiful...all of the wild flowers are in bloom and it is GREEN!!!!

As soon as we got there, Rylee instantly made herself at home, started talking everyone's ears off and started playing and checking out the water with her buddy Landon.

.

We also got to go on a boat ride to see the dam and went out in a canoe (Rylee was all about it until she was in and we went out in the water, then not so much).

"Boat, Boat"

She was pretty much paralyzed and freaked out as soon as we went out into the water haha

I loved the cacti around the lake.  Definitely not what we are used to seeing at the lake.

"On a pontoon" She lasted about 5 minuted before she fell asleep.

Pretty much the cutest couple of kiddos ever!!!

Next time we will definitely have to dig out all of our camping gear and stay the night or weekend up there, it was a great place to go hang out with even better friends!

Ba Ba. Ba Ba

We had a zoo date with Lyla and Daveena (whom was about 35-36 weeks pregnant).  Rylee absolutely loves Lyla and for days after playing with her she walks around the house saying "Lyyyyyyyyla" and "Where go" I'm so happy she gets to play with her.

It's pretty much impossible to get a good picture of the two of them both looking at the camera, let alone smiling haha

I love the giggles

If you can't hear it in the video Rylee and Lyla are singing "Ba Ba.  Ba Ba" when Daveena ask if they want to go see the bear, Lyla says "I'm singing Ba" hahaha!  They sang Ba's for a good 10 minutes and we had to basically pull them away from the pole so go see the bear :)

Pretty girls!

First Hair Cut

Baby girl got her first haircut.  I wasn't an emotional wreck like most moms are but I was the annoying mom taking all the pictures and saving all her hair.  We went to a kids salon, Kool Kuts for Kids, I figured we would take her somewhere that "specializes" in kid's hair; therefore can handle freaked out kids.  However, Rylee handled it like a champ, no problems what-so-ever.  She loved riding in the car and watching Mickey on her own TV.  I swear she did so well because we do her hair every single day.  The gal that cut it was even impressed.  So now I hope it starts growing thick and long.

Silly Arizonans

This is what it looks like when it snows in the desert!

Ryan came home last week after showing a house and told me to get the camera, there was snow on the Superstitions.  So we got all bundled up and went to the end of the street to take some pictures.  Apparently everyone else had the same idea, there were all sorts of people lined up taking pictures!  Too funny!

 Hail

We gave Rylee some hail to play with and she kept saying "burrrrr"

San Diego

We spent this last weekend in San Diego.  We LOVE this town and each time we go we say we could live there.  It was Rylee's first real road trip (5+ hours) and she did GREAT!  February isn't the ideal time to visit the beach we soon realized, as it was FREEZING!  I did pack swim suits, however there was no getting them out.  Once we were actually at the beach and when the sun came out it wasn't too horrible.  Rylee loved every minute of being at the beach.  She loved playing in the sand and even ventured out towards the water.  She would get close to the edge but when the water came up she would run away and say "oh no"

Seals at La Jolla
This is way better than the sand box at home

Playing with Uncle Travis
I don't think this girl can get much cuter...

My cousin Michelle lives about an hour north of San Diego so she met up with us at La Jolla and had lunch with us and played on the beach with us for a little while.  Rylee loved playing in the water with her and chasing each other.

On Sunday we went to Sea World.  When we first started talking about meeting Travis in SD I told Ryan I wanted to go to Sea World since we went to the zoo last time and we can go to the zoo here whenever we want...for free.  Lets face it, animals are animals and Rylee could care less.  However, I refused to pay $78/ticket!!!  So I did some research online and couldn't really find a deal to satisfy our my bargain finding self, until I went on Craigslist!  I found tickets for $35 and it ended up being a really great way to go and next time we go I will use this site again.  The people running it were super friendly, not looking to scam anyone and just wanted us to have a good time.  It's good to know there are still good and honest people in this world.  Sea World is awesome!  When the whale show started Rylee wasn't too sure about it and was a little scared.  However after she saw people clapping and cheering she was okay with it and clapped and had a great time.

This is the pond that Rylee set her brand new penguin free in haha

Right away Rylee knew this was a "bear"

Walrus

By the time we got back to the hotel at the end of the day Rylee was beat!  She had such a great day.

Even though it was freezing and Rylee was starving/tired/mad/cold we got to see the sun set...beautiful!
