Five Months Old!

Our little girl is growing up waaaaaay too fast!

The problem with this little photo shoot wasn't getting her to smile (she smiles all the time now) it was getting her to hold still long enough for me to take the picture!  She was also more interested in eating the bow on her tutu and the sticker on her shirt than she was at looking at the camera!

Rylee now weighs about 15 pounds and is about 25 inches long!  She is happy and healthy and we couldn't be more blessed.  She is so active and alert and fun now-a-days.  She giggles, squeals, grunts, talks and screams and constantly makes Ryan and me laugh.  As I type this she is laying next to me talking up a storm and reaching for her pacifier in attempt to put it in her mouth.  She's just about got it, just puts it in backwards and then gags on it haha it's actually quite humerus.

She has outgrown her bathtub so now bath time is in the real bath.  She now has a lot more room to kick and get crazy.  I end up soaking wet by the time we are done every night.  She has some bath guys that she plays with every night.  When I put her in the tub I always count to three and then will stand her in the water and give her her toys.  Now every time I do it she looks over to the soap holder where her guys are and will knock them into the water herself then sit down.

She is still sleeping very well.  We are soooooo lucky!  She goes down about 8-8:30 every night and will sleep a full 8+ hours.  Usually when she wakes up she eats and then goes right back to sleep with no problem and will sleep another 2-4 hours.  It has been very nice.  She's not doing that well with falling asleep on her own but she will do it every now and then.  I decided she will do it when she is ready and if she wants us to rock her to sleep I am okay with that too!

The solid food is also going well.  She eats a mixture of rice cereal and breast milk every day around 2.  We're not sure if she likes it but she eats most of it, well, what actually goes into her mouth.  I have been reading up on introducing other foods and we will probably start that next month after her check up with Dr. Saba just to see what he recommends.

What Rylee likes...
  1. eating
  2. playing on the floor
  3. toys that make noise (anything that makes noise for that matter)
  4. kicking (especially in the water)
  5. sucking her toes
  6. watching mom in the kitchen
  7. swinging
  8. rolling over (she's starting to like being on her tummy a little bit more)
  9. going for walks and being outside
  10. talking to herself in the morning (and basically all day long too)
