One of Katie's last weekend as a single woman went off without a hitch in Jackson Hole, WY. We stayed in an amazing condo had great food, drinks and company. We also got all geared up and went white-water rafting, then took Katie out on the town and showed Jackson how we roll :) Hopefully Katie had as much fun as I did....thanks ladies for such a good weekend!

Graduation

I know it's a little late, but I finally have some time to get caught up on our blog. So May 15, 2010 was a long time in the works but I finally did it, I graduated college!!!! Got my Bachelor's Degree in Psychology...no idea what I am going to do with it, but I got it!
My mom, dad, Grandma, Ryan, Bob, Vickie and Travis all made the journey to Boise to help me celebrate, as well as lots of friends from out of town. Sarah helped me plan a big party and all my friends showed up to help celebrate, even some people I haven't seen in a while. A lot of our friends have children now, so the days of partying until 4-5 AM are long gone but it's fun to see all the kids playing with each other.
It was a great day, I had a lot of fun chatting and catching up with all my friends. Thanks to my mom and grandma for helping me with all the food, and to Sarah and Joe for being some of the best party-planners there ever was.
Here are some pictures from the much-awaited event...

It's official!!!!
We are now homeowners!!! It has been a stressful process but it is finally over and well worth all of the hassle. It's a 2,162 square foot house with 4 bed rooms 2.5 baths, built in 2001, plenty of room for all of you to come visit. It has everything (but a pool) that we could want in a house and we couldn't be happier!! Well, maybe if I was actually in Arizona and we could celebrate and move in together would make it better, but what are ya gonna do? I will be there in 47 days (not that I am counting).

Take me out to the ball game!!!!
So I went to my very first professional baseball game! It was so much fun!!!! We went and saw the Diamond Backs play the Cubs (spring training) at Chase stadium in downtown Phoenix. I have never really been a huge fan of baseball, mostly because I never played it growing up and I find it super boring to watch on TV, but actually going to the game was a blast. We are already talking about getting tickets to a bunch of games this season. Now that we will be in a city where there is every professional sport there is (well, maybe not hockey, I will have to look into that one) we are all about going to the games! I am definitely looking forward to going again real soon...GO D-BACKS!!! haha (it sounds like D-Bags when they say is over the loudspeakers, hilarious)

Hope everyone had a wonderful spring break!!!

Twenty-old...
Well another year of my life has come and gone. That sounds bad, but I swear a whole year has not gone by since my last birthday. First off I have to say that I have amazing friends and family! Everyone made me feel so special on my day which was nice since I didn't get to spend it with my hubby. I am truly blessed to have such amazing people in my life that care about me. Anyway, enough with the sap...this year was a little different than years past. My birthday has ALWAYS been over spring break and I have been somewhere celebrating the past 10 years. This year my birthday fell during midterms (yuck) so I spent all day cramming for not only 1 but 2 exams (I have major senioritis right now, but that is another story). One of my friends said that age is just a number and another said I am still young at heart. SO TRUE! I do not feel even close to 20-old. I am trying to figure out at what age do you start lying about how old you are? I'm thinking 29...I remember my mom being 29 for a loooooong time and now it all makes sense to me!
So...I come home from class on Wednesday and my roomies had the house all decorated and showered me in cards and massage gift certificates!!!!
Our new nicknames~ the Tart, the Torte and the Brulee
So after I rocked my tests (or so I hope) I met up with some of my friends from work and had dinner and then did some bar hoppin! Seriously, I am getting too old for this. I did a good job and refused a LOT of drinks and I was thank fun for that this morning. Again, I have the best friends and I had a great night!

I am flying out in the morning. I am headed to SUNNY Arizona and I can't wait to get there. It's been 6 weeks since Ryan and I have seen each other and this trip is definitely needed (relaxing by the pool, sunshine and sleep here I come.) Sadly I have 3 papers to write and a ton of studying to do but at least I will be with Ryan and what else am I suppose to do all day while he is at work? I kept saying that March 25th was a technicality and that I will celebrate by birthday this weekend. So here's to another year. I am looking forward to what the 29th year of life has to bring!!

Trip to Arizona
Last weekend I got to go see Ryan in Phoenix. It was sooooo good to see each other which made it even harder to come back to Boise. We had a great weekend and we even got to look at a bunch of houses while I was there. We found one that we love and a few that are possibilities, and so the process begins...it is not as easy to buy a house as one might hope, especially in a new state. However, we are staying positive and know that things will work out for us in the end.

On Saturday night we met up with Crystal and Miguel at Toby Keith's I Love this Bar and Grill. It was great hanging out with them and now I know where to find all the "cowboys" in the big city haha! They gave us a mini tour of the area and I know we will be seeing a lot more of them and their little family as soon as we get settled in.
On Sunday Ryan and I drove around and looked at more houses/neighborhoods. The weather was amazing (75 degrees in Feburary is something I could get used to) I think we now have a pretty good idea as to where we want to settle down. We even went to Ryan's office to see how far his commute would be every day. I was a total tourist, I kept taking pictures of palm trees and cacti. Hopefully our new place has one or the other if not both!!!
(his new office is WAY bigger than his "office" in Boise)
On Sunday we went out for a romantic Valentine's Day dinner at Ichiban (the one in Boise is much better I thought) and called it a day. We actually got a lot accomplished in such a short visit and now I begin the countdown until I get to go back down (end of March). With any luck maybe we will be moving into our new home!!!! (keep your fingers crossed)
Hope you all had a wonderful 3-day/Valentine's Day weekend, talk to you soon.

So far so good...
Well, as you can see we ended up with a lot more stuff in the garage! I have no idea where all of this stuff was in our house, but we somehow managed to get it all boxed up and moved to Arizona!! This picture doesn't even include any of our furniture!!! (notice the lawnmower...like we are even going to need that once we get there)
Ryan has officially moved to Tempe, he has an address and everything. He and our good friend Notz (Jason) packed up the truck and headed south and got moved into an apartment, everything from the truck unloaded and into a storage unit within days. There is NO way we could have handled the stress of packing/moving in such short notice without the help of our friends. Sarah, Notz (who even drove all the way down there with Ryan), A.Bell, Noack and Mario you all mean so much to us and we sincerely thank you for all the help you gave us. It went by so fast and smooth with all of your help!

I'm not going to lie, it's a little nerve-wracking knowing that everything you have ever owned is in a truck headed to the unknown.
So, my last semester is well underway. It is going to be a brutal one (I wish I was that senior who only had electives left so I could do something fun, but as we all know I am just happy to be at the end) I have 7 classes so I am on campus every day (today for 10.5 hours) but I am staying positive and looking forward to all the wonderful things that are in our near future...i.e. house hunting...I actually get to go to Phoenix in less than 3 weeks (thanks to my AMAZING in-laws) and hopefully we can start looking for houses which I am very excited about. Ryan has informed me that my inbox will begin receiving houses as soon as tomorrow. It's crazy when you start thinking about what you want and need in a house and even crazier when you take things into consideration such as what the school district(s) will be like for our children.
